    Turbo Kit and Goodies Feeler

Hey R3V, I’ve decided to test the waters on my turbo kit I was piecing together. I’ve been toying with an engine swap rather than the turbo so thought I’d check things out to help me make a decision. The kit is essentially a CX Racing “GT35” version but with some extras and some replacement parts. What I did was modify the manifold to actually fit on an M20 head because they’re notoriously bad for having flanges that don’t line up. I also got rid of the CX Racing BOV and wastegate as soon as I could and got a genuine Tial F38 with an 8 psi spring and a Greddy Type S BOV. There is also their full aluminum intercooler setup that I have test fitted in my car and it does fit without issue after I modified the AFM flange. I have the the full CX Racing 3” exhaust that is actually very well made and fits great. The muffler has a ding on the tip from shipping and I removed the Civic ricer-boy muffler silencer. The things I am including that do not come from CX Racing are a turbo oil drain setup with fitting and modified oil pan, air filter and of course the upgraded parts.

I also have an Sssquid turbo chip for a 2.7i for use with 21# injectors, 8 psi and a 10:1 RRFPR that I could include for $200 ($245 new)

If you want to build the 2.7i, I also have some of the conversion parts. I have a spare 885 head, intake manifold, TB, 87 325is wiring harness, AFM, and 173 ECU. You’d still need all of the crank gear, CPS and the 325i pulleys. I’d be looking for $200 for those parts.

As for a price, I think that $2000 is pretty fair. Brand new the stuff from CX Racing costs $1756 with the exhaust, and when you add in the upgraded BOV and WG, the parts needed to make this a complete setup and the modification time I’ve spent to make it work perfectly, I’m into this about $2200. I did start and run the setup once on stock management just to make sure everything worked and was spinning and there was pressure coming out of the intercooler and it worked fine, however this means that the exhaust manifold gasket has been used and I will include brand new Victor Reinz stock gaskets. I also have the complete set of new Victor Reinz head gaskets and bottom end gaskets I could include for an extra $80. Sorry about the amount of numbers and prices there, hopefully it’s not too confusing. If you want the turbo kit, chip, 2.7i stuff and gaskets or any combination I will give a discounted price.

As for shipping, I’ll ship anywhere in the lower 48, Alaska or Canada (sorry Hawaii!) and everything will be professionally packaged. Shipping within Canada will be roughly $150, the US shouldn’t be more than $250 from me to Florida (farthest state from me), and probably only $180 for the NW.

    Thanks for the interest,

    Stan

P.S. As far as photos go, t's pretty self explanatory but I'll get some up ASAP

Boost anyone? Sorry still haven't had time for photos. One other thing I would be willing to do is sell without the turbo itself so that you can use a name-brand turbo. I've heard of some people having great success with these turbos, and others who've had them die really quickly. Hit or miss I guess, so you're call. I would probably offer a $200 deduction for that.
