Hey guys. Just putting a feeler as of now.
I've been experimenting with carbon fiber. Making parts for my jk jeep mostly as of now. I recently finished this knob for it and wanted to gauge of there would be any interest with you guys.
The knob was a round Delrin I had made for my Saab 92x. I overlaid it with carbon. (This is real cloth. Not vinyl)
If there's enough interest I'll go into production using a different type of plastic rather than Delrin. This will be simply be to cut cost as your not going to see the Delrin or feel it as it will be covered in carbon and resin with a clear coat over top.
Prices on these will range from 70-125$ depending on size and style. Reason being as we all know carbon isn't cheap it takes roughly an hour to turn a knob and then another 2 hours in carbon lay up. But in the end these things look killer. I've got some more experimenting to do to see how good the carbon can lay in different shapes. Obviously the sphere is easy.
Anyways Onto some eye candy. Enjoy
