In regards to your first question...yes, it may be possible. PM me and we can talk.

Regarding a snap in mount...this won't happen. This only complicates the manufacturing process and will increase costs. The double sided adhesive works very well and is economical. I'm trying to keep costs down and pass the savings down to the end user.

The updated pictures in this thread are of the finished product. Installation should be under 5 minutes using provided prep pad and 3M bonding tape. What characters are you interested in? Send me a PM or reply to thread so I can add you to preorder list.

Not sure what you mean by your 2nd question but the magnetic characters are strong enough to hold themselves to the filler plate. They will not likely hold anything in addition.

I do have to warn you, using BMW and selling to make a profit is illegal...i know this because BMW has sent their lawyers after me.

They have people that look for this kind of stuff all day, and will purchase your product acting like an innocent customer. then hit you with the lawyers. I was asked to give all the information of everyone i sold the items to, how much profit i made, who was involved. not fun.

if you want to print them for family and friends thats one thing, but putting these out on the forums and or ebay, you might get hit.

just an fyi. its not fun going through it lol

Thank you for your post. Sorry to hear about your experience. I understand the legal implications involved which is why I am not selling anything that says "BMW" on it. I am selling (1) blank filler plate and (2) any 3 magnetic characters the customer wants. The customer has the option to purchase magnetic letters and/or numbers to place on the filler plate anyway they wish. I do not ship the product with the letters prearranged in any manner.

I would compare it to customizable leather bracelets that allow the purchaser to arrange the letters in anyway they wish such as the one here:

Updated original post. I expect that pre-orders will ship the first or second week of October due to a delay in raw materials. I made 3 plates with material I had on hand and they ship out tomorrow.
