    Feeler: Hardtop for sale

Just bought a vert that comes with the hardtop. Being from SC and owning a sedan I just don't see myself using the hardtop much and I could use the money refreshing other things.

Asking $2000 OBO - It's the nicest hardtop I've seen in person, no sagging and only one slight blemish on the back part of the drivers side.

I'm in South Carolina for school right now. I wouldn't mind meeting half way up the coast - or even coming all the way up if my costs are covered.

Looks more like a FS ad than a feeler :)

Haha, I've "decided" to sell it but I already have sellers remorse because it is a really cool item to have - I'm just not going to have much use for it. I think I titled it a feeler to make myself feel better, haha.

Yeah, some guy down here was selling his vert with a hard top. When I went to look at it the hardtop was gone - he said someone stopped him with an offer (north of 2k) and he just couldn't say no.

This one is in better shape than that one was and comes with the usually missing covers for the mounting area.

had about 12 of these and only sold one really mint one for 2k. I sell them between 1200-2k depending on condition. unfortunately as these cars get older these tops get harder to come by.

Thanks for the input - I'm definitely a bit flexible but this thing is in really great shape. Where did you find 12 of them? That's nuts!

So this was my hard top previously (before wcipolli) and it is the best one I have ever seen in person. Will has a receipt for the headliner done by a Maryland interior guy who does high level concours work (he did a concours winning BMW 1937 328 and 502). The new headliner cost me $400 and it just looks very nice. The rear glass has an integrated defroster and as Will mentioned, there is a small one inch tear on one side that has been repaired.

I have had this hard top in monsoon like rain storms and it has never once leaked. The seals are good and it is just very nice/classy looking. I didn't drive the car in winter, but on cold fall/spring days… the hard top was much warmer and quieter. I also found that it made the car feel much more like a coupe, with noticeably less cowl shake. I had people get in the car (with the hard top on) and never know realize it was a convertible. I really debated keeping the hard top in case I buy another vert one day. In any event, I thought it would be a good investment… because I don't ever expect them to go down in value.
