The only e30 I own is a M3...which this part is directly out of...I would assume it fits a non-m e30, but I don't know for sure. I am sure someone on this forum would know.

For the tranny to fit an m20/m50/52/54 etc, you need the m20/g265 bell housing that came on the 82 528e.

That bellhousing is extremely hard to find unless your in say UK or Poland. Been wandering around Scotland this weel looking for E30 stuff but haven't seen one.
