Sold
As a general trend lately, I am selling off some things as I have just acquired a Euro 320/6, so the non-essentials for my E30 and E28 are up for grabs.
The irony is I am trying to secure a set of the OEM E21 Recaro seats now, because it would drive me nuts knowing I had the incorrect Recaros in the 320.
These are the Recaro LS seat, known as the "Trophy" interior to the VW folks. Cloth center inserts with leather bolsters and backing.
So, pictures of the seats are below. Some known issues but definitely good enough to use as-is:
-You will want to source a new set of seat straps / diaphragms from Ardvark Racing for one of the 2 seats (I think the passenger has the good diaphragm). I have these, they're cheap but I am saving them for whenever I get the E21 Recaros in hand.
-Also, one of the adjusters on the passenger seat is stuck. This is the one that if you wanted to flip it forward while sitting next to it in the car, it doesn't move (really, I don't know why you would need this in a sedan anyway since you have rear doors). However, you can adjust the seat back using the knob on the other side. Driver's seat has full adjustability. Both seat backs lock into place securely with little slack. More of an issue for people with a coupe, I suppose.
-There is some cracking of the black leather as pictured. I cannot tell if these were recovered at some point, but they look factory to me (in regards to what came in the GLIs). The texture is certainly correct.
-Last, there is some surface rust on the headrest bracket on the driver's seat only. I don't know why it picked one seat and not the other.
I would like to see $400 for these. Buyer responsible for shipping; in fact, I would greatly prefer that you make arrangements to send me a shipping label so I can just drop off and not have to worry about calculations. I cannot use Greyhound in my region due to the fact that they do not own the local bus terminal. However, there are no bases, and even FedEx can prove reasonable (and far faster/reliable) for something this size.
Rust:
The one bad adjuster:
PM w/ any interest. Will entertain serious offers.
