update to the update:)
It seems this is a real zender front spoiler. The po painted over the name on the side, but it is not a cheap reproduction as far as I can tell. Only way to be sure is to sand off the nice white paint. I am thinking maybe someone with a white e30 early model will buy this, so I don't want to sand it:)
