Garage30 Drive Shaft Adapter Pre-Order - Neue Motorsports

    Hey everyone,

I'm pleased to announce that my website Neue Motorsports is parterning with Garage30 out of the Netherlands. For the US market we will be doing a pre-order for R3v and people who use our site. All US buyers will get free shipping. If your international we can figure something out. Here's some info on the product:

This adapter kit is designed to couple a medium sized 96mm p.c.d flex disc (also known as giubo) to a stock e30 78mm p.c.d driveshaft. The 96mm transmission output flange is mostly found on the M5X/S5X family of engines with the 5-speed transmission. It is also found on the M60B30 v8 with the 5-speed. This means if you swap any of these engines in your e30 you can keep your stock driveshaft, instead of having to source an e30 M3 big flange drive shaft ($$$), or use a aluminum swap flex disc. The advantage of using this adapter over a aluminum swap guibo, apart of being cheaper, is the use of a stock flex disc which permits way more driveline deflection without failing. That said, near perfect driveline alignment is still important for a vibration free drive. The adapter is laser cut from Swedish high quality, high strenght steel. Lower quality steel simply didn’t last. Threads are cut, and it is then ground perfectly flat to a 0.01mm tolerance for perfect balance. Lastly it gets an anti corrosion zinc gold finish. Bolts supplied are 12.9 quality zinc finish. Can also be supplied with bolts and nylock nuts to fasten the flex disc tot the transmission for a complete kit. We tested the adapter in a M60B40 swapped e30 325i. We are a small Dutch company owned by e30 enthusiasts. Fully made in the Netherlands. Our strict D.M.V approved the use of this adapter for a road vehicle. What do you get in the base kit? The adapter plate, 3x M10 bolts, 3x M12 bolts, washers and the instructions.

That thing looks to be less then 1/2" thick, so the stock driveshaft should collapse enough to compensate.

Cool product! Seems like it would get the job done without any drawbacks.

The adapter plate is only 8mm thick, there should be more than enough room in the driveshaft's slide coupling to allow for that. But it is the reason we chose a high strength steel, to make it thin and still strong enough.

The adapter is cut very precisely, the holes line up absolutely perfect. We also grind it flat on both sides to 0.01mm, like decking a block or cyl head. This gives a perfect balance.

so it appears that this kit adapts the medium sized guibo to the small e30 bolt pattern?

can you make an adapter to go from the large 540i/m5 guibo to the medium size?

In the future I'm sure that could be done.
