The bushing inside the shift joint will oval out over time when used with the oem shift linkage.
The DSSR's 'pinch' the face of the joint.
So, the twisting side to side motion will be eliminated. However, the forward and back motion on the shift joint could be an issue. It'll be minimal at best, IMO.
If you're worried, you can buy a new one and return it if it isn't needed. If you buy one from me, the return shipping will be on you, however. (probably only a couple of dollars though)

I'd be interested in a 95+ model.
The M52 that the guy above referenced would be 95+, as the M52 came in the 328 models, which replaced the M50 in the 325 models. 328s were late; 325s were early.

I have an m50
I have a g240
So I would need basically an m42 shift rod, as that is what I used.
Also, I like this, but one issue I have seen with other brands, is either a nut wouldn't fit. Or maybe rubbing. Just curious if you have installed pics, I have seen them rub on guibos are maybe the shifter support. Depending what people use.
