Well I already have a complete B25 setup I'm about to drop in my car now. I found a buyer for just the engine. He said he sent the deposit, ended up never sending it. In the meantime I sold the trans separately. So I'm pretty much fucked.

Why taking out the m30?

Because I'm broke + haven't paid my student loan in 9 months. I have to take care of my debt before I leave for the Navy. It was fast but I can build a faster one. I really love M30s but I could make a lot, lot , lot more power, reliably, with a 4.8 or 5.3 LS. (The 4.8 has a 1.9 rod ratio, is very oversquare, and when paired with an even bigger bore and lightened rotating assy, good valve train can spin to 7500 rpm all day. I could build a very peaky LS that would be fantastic in an e30). Not sold on turbo cars either. If I could have a turbo m20 or m30 that make 450 wheel and would start every time, wouldn't overheat, I could take on road trips ect.... Everyone I know with a turbo car is constantly running into problems. And really turbo is the only way you're going to make A LOT of power relatively cheap with a BMW motor.

That being said. I'm definitely building another m30 eventually. But it'll probably be in an E12, not an e30 ;)
