I’ve been on the forum for almost two years restoring and upgrading my 1989 325is, feel free to check out my build thread if you’re interested!
I’ve recently configured my vinyl plotter and have been thinking up some slogans and other cool ideas for vinyl decals the community will really enjoy, here are my first two!
The first decal “DREAMS ARE BUILT IN THE GARAGE” is pretty self explanatory. I thought of the little play on words a little while back and figured it would go great as a sticker for those of us with garage built project cars! Or, can be applied to other garage built projects; think Apple/Macintosh, garage carpentry, etc… The sticker measures by roughly 1” tall x 10.5” wide, however size can be modified as per member request.
The second decal “BMW Motorsport” is fairly generic, however I haven’t found one that is fairly accurate in terms of spacing, kerning, or letter shape. All of them seem to be off in one form or another. I tried my best to get it to look like the original type! Match those motorsport door handles with an awesome “dealership style” Motorsport decal! The sticker is 6” wide and roughly 3/4” tall, making it perfect to go right underneath your taillight, trunk, or wherever you decide to place it!
Current Color options:
Matte black
Gloss white
Red
Blue
Tiffany blue (teal)
At the moment, I am limited to these colors, however in time I will expand by request if there are enough people that want a specific color option.
I use 3M 1080 professional grade wrap vinyl (the same stuff used by wrapping shops to color change high end vehicles), and Arlon sign vinyl so you know its top grade and safe to use on painted surfaces.
Over time, I will be developing more decal designs, however i’ll just be starting with these two for now to get a nice baseline. I am open for input, and if you have any ideas, shoot me a PM!
I would love to work with you guys to produce some custom decals for anyone interested. That goes for any decal work up to 10’ wide by 1’ tall, if you have a design idea I will happily make it for a small fee. However, if I like your design, I can produce a number of them for you free of charge if you allow me the privilege of adding them to the design collection to sell alongside the current designs (with accreditation to the respected individual). All of this can be discussed over PM
Pricing: based on US shipping costs (not including Alaska and Hawaii)
$5 shipped for one (predesigned) decal, $9 shipped for two (predesigned) decals, and an extra $3.50 for every additional predesigned decal.
For any custom work, color mixing, size changing, or modification to a predesigned decal, an additional fee will be involved; PM me for details.
Please allow me a few days to complete and ship requested inquires as I am a full time student that prioritizes school before anything else… Thank you!
