Getrag 420g 6 speed transmission

Got a good used 6 speed transmission that the previous owner got from a 540i for his M60 swap. Bought it from him to do my own swap but I came up on a deal I can't pass up and need to free up funds. Seller assured me no grinds and smooth shifts. I also have the flywheel but it has some heat spots. Located in Victorville but can deliver for a price.

Price is $800. Reasonable offers will be accepted.

For the aforementioned applications there are three incompatible bellhousing boltpatterns: one for 8-cylinder engines (540i, 740i, 840i, E39 M5, Z8), one for the 5 Series 6-cylinder engines (E34 M5, only for 1995), and one for the 3 Series 6-cylinder engines (M3, 330i). Bellhousings can be swapped among V8 and i6 transmissions, The bellhousing pattern is also the same as the larger 520g v12 transmission used with the M70 and M73 powered cars.

Seems the info isn't as straight forward as previously represented. I'm quoting someone else, "You'd need a bell housing from a 6 cylinder Getrag 420, so one from a Euro e36 M3 or from an e46 M3." As far as I know this should get them to work.

Also if you go this route, research is higly recommended, included just a few links to get someone who wants to do this started.

from the getrag 420 (lol) wikipedia page. The bellhousing for an i6 on a g420 has the same bolt pattern as a zf320 because a lot of s54 e30/e36swaps use the zf320 with no [mentioned] issues
