Up for sale is a set of bare e30 M3 5-lug strut housings. I originally acquired these with the intent of doing a 5-lug conversion on my 318, but I ended up rebuilding the stock 4 lug suspension instead. As much as I’d like to keep them, it’s time to move them on to a new home.
They’re not perfect, so they’ll need a little work before they can be used. One of the housings has a sheared tie rod lever bolt that will need to be extracted, and the other housing has the remnants of a sway bar end link still attached. Otherwise the strut housings are original and intact. The sway bar mounting tabs have also been reinforced.
These would be good for an M3 owner that may want spares, core units for someone building coilovers, or a non-M owner looking to piece together their own 5-lug setup that retains the OE geometry and offsets.
I would like $1350 for the pair of strut housings. I had them packaged at FedEx in a 20”x20”x13” box that weighs 23lbs, so I can ship them at the buyer’s expense should they not be local to Los Angeles, CA.
