Hey all you guys that went 5 lug, I need hubs!

The jackass previous owner WELDED the axle nuts to the rear hubs on my car. Quite the surprise when I went to do the wheel bearings. I’m drilling/grinding/chiseling as we speak. Anyone out there want to unload some 4 lug rear hubs, stat?

Get the welding torch and melt it off!

I’m a fairly decent hack mechanic but I have no welding experience. It’s on the list. I’ll grab a cheap wire feed to start. How ‘bout those hubs tho?!

I saw those. The price seems quite high. Am I off base here?

Yeah, definitely seems high for used hubs.

I scored a pair. 100 shipped for both. Now that seems reasonable.

They are expensive to buy new ($290 ea) and not sure about other locations, e30's are all but gone from wreckers here.

Also, most people who go 5 lug don't just swap the hubs, they swap the whole trailing are and sell the old one complete.

It is hard to justify $300+ for used hubs when you can get the whole trailing arm for about the same (which I am surprised you don't just swap TA's).

                  Sending PM, BTW.

That's a good point. I picked up a complete real subframe for $150, a couple months ago.
