Not sure what questions are unanswered? anyone seriously interested in purchasing this can send me a pm. As mentioned in the original post this was a dealer option, the actual shade does not have a bmw part# but the attaching hardware has bmw part numbers. Lots of Bmw part options sometimes didn’t have part#’s stamped ie: the Motorsports dead pedal. A link to installation was attached two weeks ago. If I can be of assistance please pm me or send a phone number and I’d be happy to speak directly with anyone.

The multiple people asking if this required a specific parcel shelf/deck lid? The instructions you linked to talk about a new shelf being installed. So, it stands to reason that it would be one designed to work with the shade. Is that not right?

From my research and understanding, it does not require a “specific “ parcel shelf. I believe it can be use once the parcel shelf is modified according to the link posted.

Saw an early model with the shade, it appears that here is a specific shelf for this thing. I like this and wish it didn’t need one
