FS: M52 Aluminum block, 88k mi, excellent shape

Hey guys, Cleaning out the workshop area and decided to let this go. Came out of a runnning E36 with 140k KM(ca 88k mi). I pulled the motor myself as well as broke it down, tossed the internals(was a 2.5). 84mm bore & Cross-hatching still looks fresh....

(pics'll be up in a few....)

$500 plus shipping from Germany via DHL(ca $125).

Does it come with the main bearing caps, oil pump, etc... There are some minor differences in the architecture between the iron and the aluminum single Vanos blocks. I have someone that might be interested.

That will make it very expensive and difficult to make use of that block as the main bearing caps are matched/machines with the block. Someone wanting to use the block would need to have another set of bearing caps machined (line bored) with the block, and it “might” have to be the specific bearing caps that are from the aluminum single Vanos block. And I know for a fact that the oil pump housing is specific to that block. I tried to install a pump from an iron block motor and it would not fit.

Well then Jaker, thanks for crappin' in mah cornflakes. I guess i'll make a table out of this one. I do however still have the complete aluminum m52(with 100k km/ 62k mi that replaced the m50b20)that I pulled from my E34 Touring sitting in the workshop. Tell me exactly what I should include to make the swap 'kit' complete...

I was not intending on crappin' in yah cornflakes. I was only concerned about people knowing what they were in for should they decide to take you up on your item for sale. I've made regrettable ($$$) errors in the past and figured I'd help stop someone else from doing the same.

I had a built 3.0 single Vanos motor using this same block. It was only available here in North America for about 18 months of production (97-98) in the 2.8 Z3 Roadster. I had the unfortunate experience of trying to fit a non-Z3 oil pump onto the block only to discover that it didn't fit.

And the issue with the main bearing caps is a well known fact that sometimes gets missed.
