    FS: A/C expansion valve

Bought it and didn't install it. $12 + shipping (was $17 from fap99). Brand new, never opened.

It's a device that meters the amount of refrigerant to the evaporator to regulate cooling. Obviously, part of the a/c system. It's located on the passenger side of the center console and is attached directly to the evaporator. Yes, it is a bitch and a PITA to get to and remove/install.

However, on an E30 if you have a leak in your a/c system, the majority of the time it comes from the expansion valve due to the way it is designed. If you want a properly working a/c system, this is one of the parts that must be replaced at some point. It's a bitch to do, but so worth it in the end.

            Great price, TJ.
