The lenses are decent, but have some sandblasting type wear - not too bad - I think some polishing would do them up well.

Bulbs in the high beams and city lights, but not in the lows.

The adjustment mechanism is intact with the oil in the lines.

The grilles are dirty, but will clean up fine - they have the hole for the city light replacement in them and come with the oh so cherished ///M badge. :razz:

Stooopid newbie to E30 question... Diff between the Euro grilles and non euro? And on the smileys, does the smiley itself have any purpose besides looking cooler? I like em, dont get me wrong. Just wondering if theyre pure asthetic. I know the projector itself obviously help, as with the E36 version.

Euro grilles go straight across the top of the headlights whereas the US ones have a cut out of sorts. Almost has an "eyebrow" effect to it on the Euro ones. Also, the Euro kidney has a backing plate type thing that decreases the opening behind it - I suppose its airflow related in some way.

As for the SMiley part - it changes the light pattern - resulting in a sharper cutoff - do a search - I am sure someone hasposted some info on it here.

No - but they are pretty easy to wire up without them. I did my old set.

Cool deal, Asthetically, the smileys looked better. I guess thats just an added bonus from my point of view, if they increase other safety aspects lol.
