    FS: M50 complete

I've got a complete pull from an OBDI E36 325is. It has all accessories, ECU, and all wiring is uncut.

Engine has 150K miles on it, and I have receipts for 3K worth of valve/cyl. head work in the last 15K miles, including new vanos. Also have receipt for a new clutch within the same time frame. I didn't drive it much before I pulled it, but everything seemed in excellent condition

The only issue is that a friend of mine cracked one of the mounting ears on his oil pan, and I traded pans with him (E36 pan I didn't plan on needing, see below). We didn't know until we had already pulled both pans that the crack isn't serious, so we just swapped anyway. I'm sure you could run it as is with no issues.

I have an E34 pan and oil pump as I was going to do the M50 conversion with this motor, but sold the car to a friend in need. I'll include the pan, dipstick and pump for an extra $200 (available separately for $225)

I'm asking $650 for the engine. Pickup in State College, PA 16805. Mapquest it if you don't know where it is, or how far away. I will be driving from PA to Tampa, FL early next week. I would be willing to deliver the engine as long as it's within ~30 miles of I95/I75, and you have a hoist to lift it out of the truck .

I think it's a very fair price considering the completeness of the engine.

    Thanks!

That sounds like a very good price if all is well with it.

Thanks, I think it's a very fair price, considering it's a complete pull. Just bolt in, plug in, top off the radiator, and you're off.

Looking through the receipts, in 4/03 it had:

                    Rebuild complete cylinder head
                    Change Valve Guides
                    re-surface valve seats
                    replace hydraulic lifters
                    @ a price of $1200

                    Also

                    Remove timing chain cover
                    Replace Vanos unit
                    Replace Guide rail
                    replace timing chain tensioner
                    @ a price of $477

                    12/04 it had

Replace clutch kit along with some transmission seals and slave cyl
                    @ a price of $800

Engine ran well and pulled strongly.

let me know if you're willing to ship it.
If not, I am interested and may be able to arrange a pickup.

I have the money, just need time to talk to some people about whether they are going in your direction anytime soon.
