I do not have any in my hand so I don't know the weight. I have asked the manufacturer and will have to wait for them to respond. Will most likely be after the weekend. I'll post back as soon as I find out.

I believe we buy from the same manufacturer as Eagle and many others.

The 144mm rods will work with m30's, but will require custom pistons. They will give you a better rod to stroke ratio also. If you are dead set on stock length rods for the m30, I'll check price on them and all of the BMW rods availab.

To be honest... I have owned several e30's (1 henna 84 325, 1 325es, 5 325i's and 2 e30 M3's), but I have never played with motor internals for them and am not very well versed in all the different applications and possible combinations. If you are wanting information on something specific, please also be specific in your request as to what motor and what length rod you are inquiring about. I don't mind doing research to find out, but I'll be able to answer your questions faster and more completely with all the info you can give me.

        Hi Cary!
Discounts for anyone that feeds my ego on driving. :p
That drive through the mountains was a blast. One of the funnest club type drives I have ever done.
I have to admit, it's easy to drive such a great car (e30's in general).

Glad to see you in a 2 door now!

Look me up when your ready to build up a motor. ;-)

        Flashback for ya...

M50 engines used 135 and 140 (and according to the link, 145) mm rods that AFAIK have the same small end and big end dimensions as M20's. I don't know that we could fit 145mm rods in an 81mm stroke M20, but I think with custom pin height pistons, the 140mm rods would fit. I gotta browse MM's catalog, and I have a message in to Wiseco. I'll be back, but yes Patrick, I'm interested!

You can count me in for 135 mm rods.

Its cool to see you here- your orange coupe was my dream volvo, and your comments of the handling charateristics of a 240 vs an e30 made me get an e30.

But yeah, I'm down for some 135mm action.

If I don't hear back from our supplier today on a weight, I'll just order a set and weigh them myself.

I miss that car sometimes. I'd say either car is an excellent choice, but for totally opposite reasons.
I'll let you know updates in this thread on availability and other info. ;)

The BMW rods I ordered came in today.
                    I ordered:
                    135mm 52mmBE/22mmSE - 4 just to weigh
                    135mm 48mmBE/22mmSE - 12 because they seemed most popular
                    144mm 48mmBE/22mmSE - 4 just to weigh

Weights w/o bolts are as follows:
                    135mm 52mmBE/22mmSE - 563 grams
                    135mm 48mmBE/22mmSE - 541.5 grams
                    144mm 48mmBE/22mmSE - 612.8

One rod of each size will now be shipped to ARP to let them determine what bolts they will require. This usually takes about 1 week.

If you want a set of the above, chime in now and I will be able to ship them to you in 2 weeks with ARP 2000 bolts for $100 a rod ($600 a set) plus shipping and Paypal fees.

After these first sets are sold I will order more if people want them. If I get a decent request for them, I will stock any popular sizes. It will take me 4 weeks to get them if they aren't in stock.
