    FS: M20 Schrick 288

I bought a bunch of valvetrain parts for an M20 off of a race motor with one race and one qualifier. I took the what I needed, and I have a cam for sale (I already have a brand new 284). Great condition, my wife broke our camera, we've ordered a new one so if you want pics, I can email the out as soon as it is delivered. Anyway, I want to get $250 for it (i paid $449.95 from VAC for my 284, this one is from VAC as well) , a cheap Schrick cam in almost new condition if anyone wants it. Prefer Portland, OR buyer, but will ship at buyers expense. Anyone who wants to see it in person is welcome to come by the house.

Decided to stop being a baby and learn how to post pics. Here they are for your enjoyment. Shiny cam is new Schrick 284, middle cam is lightly used Schrick 288, and third cam is stock used cam. There are more pics, but I can't upload more than 5. Pics are 1mb each, so send me pm with email address to get total set, if you need them.

Interesting. You'd definitely have some loping with a 288!

Cthulu, what were you using for ECU/FMU to make that 288 work? What would the head need to make it happy? Is it too big to be "streetable" on a 2.5?

Any interest in trading for alarm/stereo crap?

I did not run this cam, I bought it from a racer that parted out a bunch of Schrick parts from his head, after a race and qualifier. I will try to contact him and ask about his fueling set up. It depends on what you can tolerate for a street car. It is definitely a horsepower cam, stock valve springs are probably not appropriate. Not interested in anything that doesn't make my car go faster, or handle better. This is a screaming deal any way you look at it, I'm suprised no one has jumped on it yet.

yeah, you aren't going to want to use stock valve springs with that cam. the stock ECU is probably fine, but of course a good tune would make better use of its potential.
