WTF I don't get how tie rod spacers could possibly matter. When the rack is centered the wheels are pointing straight. You crank the wheel over til "lock", ie the rack runs out of teeth. The distance between center and lock on the rack is how far the tie rod pivot point of the strut housing will turn. Only way I see to get a tighter turning radius would be moving where the tie rod attaches to the housing farther in. Or getting a rack that has a longer sweep or whatever you wanna call it.

I just read that battlewhatever page and I still don't get it. You are making the steering rack longer but the tie rod shorter. How does this change anything? They don't explain this and I think it'd be hilarious if I'm right and they're wrong and are selling a completely useless product while acting like they're experts.

For some reason I think I'm the one missing something but for the life of me I can't figure it out and I wasted a good 5 seconds of my life thinking on it really hard too.
      Someone correct me please

why dont you just measure the travel distance of the z3 rack then measure the travel distance of your stock rack then you wont need to sell

                    Shorter tie rods.

There is more toe change in bump and rebound and also a possible change in the amount of Ackerman effect. The tie rods radius is shorter than the control arms. Don't E30's have a bump stop between the spindle and control arm? If so you would need to get out the grinder.

$200. I had quite a bit of interest when I first asked, so I believe it's still a good price.
