i think FS thread should just be information and points of contact. anything else is unnecessary. if you're seriously interested in an item, then you can take the time to PM or email the negotiating.

    I moderate accordingly whenever possible.

I think that bumping for a pal who's at the bottom of the page is alright, and gives thumbs up for a good seller is cool. Giving support to a good seller can also be considered informing the possible buyer.

key point being, "at the bottom of the page"

I dont think the negotiation of prices should be held in the thread. Sometimes I will sell something cheap to somebody, and then I'll sell something for a bit more to somebody else, and somebody will get butthurt cause "the other guy got it cheaper".

If the seller is selling something for $XX.xx amount, then thats the price. If you feel its unreasonable and thinking about buying the item, then use the PM function. Take the negotians to PMs.

Bumping wouldn't be needed if people didnt post useless crap in peoples threads. Sure somepeople may give a thumbs up to a seller and what not, but most of the people here have some feedback in the feedback section, and people need to actually leave feedback there. If you arent sure about a seller/buyer, go look in there.

If its here then why not post....

I think that this forum is fine the way it is. Mods know when to mod. They do it in all the other threads so why not here. The thread gets started and someone gets pissed off its because their shit aint selling. I'm more than happy to come in and see 17 posts in my threads and I try to decipher and answer each one. I say let the assholes run rampant and let the seller weed out what needs to happen. Its part of the sale.

I've posted what I thought were ridiculous numbers and have yet to been r3v'd on prices. Maybe I"m not a schmuck? I don't know..... Mods... yer doin just fine in my book.

I get equally bothered by people responding to a post with "YGPM" or discussing prices and other small details over the forum when they should be doing it in private.. mostly because it keeps bumping the thread to the top for no good reason.

Most people who crap on threads are either pissed they have the same thing for sale or want it and can't afford it either financially or mentally.

I don't see what the big deal is. The crappy comments usually come off like they were posted by a jackass and can be somewhat amusing. No matter what the comments say, as a seller you can ignore the stupid posts and enjoy the free bumps back to the top of the list.

Actually some of the noobies on the forum probably wouldn't know any better if it weren't for some of the comments posted like this.

FTR.. I believe that users should be able to discuss prices in a thread in a sensible matter and should try their best to back up their opinions.

Well, I would say the above quoted comment is false, and so would others. The bottem line is to stay out of people's FS threads unless you have something to add.

Now, selling worn out brake pads - yea then it's like "ummm hello???"

Wait till you try selling something on this board and someone crapps all over it, then you will understand.

                                Oh, but I disagree.

Used brake pads can be very useful, I use them all the time on street cars.

You have your opinion about the oil pump, and I have mine. I edited my reply to your post to reflect that, just so everyone is clear.

My point about the oil pump is- if you're going to the trouble to pull the oil pan, then it's stupid IN MY OPINION to put a used oil pump in there. It's a free country, and people can and will do what they want.

I find it incredibly amusing that you are so butt-hurt by this whole oil pump thing. If you're that hard up for $$, PM me your paypal info and I'll buy the fucking oil pump, then I'll expect you to ship it to me so I can make and post a video of me smashing it into 1000 pieces with my erect penis.
