    FS/FT: Z4 2.5l lever

I decided to trade out the z4 2.5 lever I have in the car while its down for a bit. The lever is less than a year old and there isn't anything wrong w/ it. I bought it from bma in their kit. I just want something w/ a shorter throw. I would be willing to trade for either a z4 3.0 or a z3-m lever or $55 shipped ;)

i have this lever, it is like 33% shorter or something close to that, in comparison to a sloppy stock shifter the upgrade is impeckable. the throws into 2nd and 4th are fairly short, and i dont find it to be notchy. its a good overall lever. if you want are super short throw this is not the lever for you, but it is still very nice and no comparison to stock.

also bump for a good seller.

M coupe levers are NOTCHY, FYI. Everything in the shifter mech is brand new, tranny is the weakest link obviously, but just put this setup on and while I like it I'd say its shorter than ideal. Ground a 2 gears and missed 2nd a few times already, I'll get used to it :)

I have this in my vert and it really opened up the car. Feels great and solid. The 2.5 isn't really notchy at all. The 3.0 might be but the 2.5 has just a tiny bit of notchinesss.

I had the entire linkage rebuilt too which might have made a difference. Feels great none the less

I have the 3.0 lever in my eta with a stock lightweight knob, and each shift is a two-step process, that's how notchy it is. It is very short, too.

I put an e36 M3 lever in my track car and love it. Longer throws, but the knob is closer to the wheel and it's easy to slam gears.

I think I'm just going to go w/ the z4 3.0 lever instead. It seems like ppl are a lot more happy w/ them. I was thinkin about the z3-m though cause it was taller on top but I guess that doesn't make up for how knotchy it is...

I don't know too many people happy with that shifter. See my post above...

Your shifting practically down inside the console opening, and you're using all of your arm muscle to do it. I guess if it's the fuh raze feel you are after, it's cool, but if you are trying to drive fast, forget it. Maybe if you put a heavy knob on it, you'd be OK, I don't know. It's still 50 miles away from the steering wheel.

If you want the best shift feel, raise the pivot point. You'll have to do a little welding but it's worth it. "stilllearning" on this board did that, and it shifts nice.
