Don't mean to hijack but how does the LSD ratio work? I have one on mine but not sure what it is.
Is it, the higher the ratio, the more torque you get? Might sound stupid but I have no clue.
        Thanks and again, sorry

LSD is limited slip differential. It basically prevents one wheel from spinning by splitting the power between the axles. It has nothing to do with power output or torque multiplication. The ratio decides that, which is not related to the fact that the diff may or may not be an LSD unit.

I think I got that, I know what the purpose of an LSD is but what I wonder is what is the difference between a 4.10 and 3.73 for example?

Still got it? Mines on it's way out. I'm almost 100% sure of it. But, I'm going to make sure before purchasing - wondering if you still had it though.

Its a gear ratio. in a 4.10 you have to turn the input shaft 4.1 times for the output shaft to spin once. in a 3.73 the input shaft has to turn 3.73 times for the output to turn once.

simply put the higher the number the more your going to have to shift.

And the lower the top speed. The lower the # the higher the top speed will be. I want around a 2.93 for fuel savings and longer shifts.

True for theoretical top speed. Actual top speed may be higher *cough* automatic eta with 2.79 *cough*

What cars came with a 2.79? I want one
