Am I the only one who understood completely what he was trying to achieve? Teh intrawebz (yes, even r3v) is swarming with moochers looking for handouts, be it for donations to go visit the tail of the dragon or some dumb sixteen year-old who can't afford the morning after pill. Asking for a small amount of money was a simple and effective way to weed out trolls looking for freebies.
