      Thanks guys...

Yes, I have a few Corvairs (though I sold my Yenko Stinger GT3 car a couple years ago)... and yes I would potentially be interested in a turbo parts car. Check out http://fnader.com/TRIP.htm for my wife's adventures in doing a 10,000 lap of the US in a Corvair-powered VW Westy....

The Dart GT is a preproduction model of the new "Mustang fighter" designed to draw people into the showroom. Each dealer got 1 or 2. 273-4bbl (similar in spec to the 271hp version of the Ford 289), HD (manual) brakes and suspension, manual steering, open big bore exhaust, 904 auto, factory shoulder belts, factory mag hubcaps, etc... my uncle was the local Dodge dealer and had a "leftover" '66 Dart sedan for my grandmother... the day she went to pick that up the '67 GT was being offloaded. She made him sell it to her instead of the sedan then proceeded to drive it to church and to the grocery store each week for the next 30 years. When I got it, only 2 brakes were working and the 4bbl hadn't been cracked open since about 1972...

I recomissioned it for the street and drove/showed it for a few years until I rubbed down through the paint. What began as a strip and respray has turned to a full blown re$to.... in the paint shop this week (finally)...

Great looking, great sounding, but frankly horrible driving car... ;-)

Oh, on the pictures I had to rebuild the website and the head images got lost... I can email the huge pix to anyone interested.

With poper exhaust and tuning, switching to a Split Second or like tuning and a 6 branch you should pick up roughly 20 hp but with a 288 it will be high on the rpm range.

Stand alone will be the only way to get rid of the lumpy idle and even then it still will be to a degree.

I had a Dart as a kid. 4sp 340 68 Dart GT rat box. Fun car but damn bias ply tires were scary.

Do you have a receipt/invoice for the work on the head?

I _had_ it... have been unable to find and have asked the sho to see if they can provide a replacement.

Just got a copy of the invoice for the work on the head (but not the cam/springs/lifters themselves); can email to anyone interested.
