    FS: M30 motor mounts

4/3/08 edit - 5 more b34 sets just arrived today
    -----------------------------------------------------------
12/10/08 edit - 7 sets of b35 mounts arrived today. 8 sets of b34 mounts left.

We are making a run of M30 motor mounts (M30b34 motors) to adapt the engine to the E30 chassis.

With a b35 head on the b34 block, you will NOT need to modify the firewall. Also our positioning allows you to use a Factory driveshaft (from a 325e), and factory E30 shift linkage (when using the getrag 260 or 265).

The first mounts are going to be shipped out next week, so while we are making them, now is the time to grab a set!

ALSO - for you b35 guys, keep posted, we will be making brackets for you soon!
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    B34 mounts - $265 + $15 shipping within continental US

    Joe,
I am interested in the b34 (3.2/3.5) mounts but are you still making the ones that do require the firewall to be modified? Mine is modified and everything should go back into place well, since the driveshaft is already made (or adapted) to fit with the further back motor.

--EDIT: I might be reading wrong. I am using the 3.2/3.5 head w/ the b34.
    Thanks

I gotta start looking for a shell, I have a buddy who has a dirty euro m30 sitting in a half parted 6'er doing nothing useful.

Question...why 325e driveshaft works but not 325i? I know guibo size might be different depending on year but trannys are the same so wouldn't the total length be the same? Is it a question of needing a certain size guibo to match up with the 265 or 260/6 or whatever m30's use?

Also what motor mounts would one run with these, stock m30?

325e has a select few with a large flex disc.

Good luck with the sale Funkmasta!

And actually, on that note: I have heard of people swapping the output shafts on the 260s, so theoretically, you can use the output shaft from a 325i, and put it on the M30-260 and utilize your stock 325i driveline.

If you're using a G265 you will have to use an E30 M3 driveline, or a 97-99 M3 manual driveline with an E30 CSB.

                    whoa whoa whoa...really?

I was under the impression that any large flex disc will work with the 265. If this isn't the case...what will work? I'm going to go shit my pants now.

Nope... the 265 is a bit longer than the 260 :(

Well in any case, this can be discussed somewhere else.

Good luck with the rest of your sale.

If you are using an 88+ 3.5 head, you do NOT need to modify the firewall.
If you are using an 87 or earlier cylinder head, you WILL need to modify the firewall.

Michael seems to think that he can get a single set of b35 mounts by the end of next week. I *think* my block has the late model pilots as well as the early, so I will see what I can do for you b35 guys!
