FS: NRG v2.5 steering quick release (black)

This is a brand new in box NRG v2.5 steering wheel quick release. This quick release has a lot of cool features that most other quick releases don't.

It is made to mount to any Momo/Sparco hub and allow quick release of any Momo/Sparco/Nardi/Personal steering wheel. The piece that mounts to the steering wheel actually has bolt patterns for both the typical Momo/Sparco bolt pattern, but also has the bolt pattern for the harder to find Nardi/Personal steering wheels so you don't have to run an adapter like with most other QR's.

The QR also has built in contacts between the base and the steering wheel mount that allow the horn to be a quick release feature as well. Just like the contacts properly when reinstalling the wheel and you don't have to disconnect any horn wires each time you remove the steering wheel.

It is a ball-type QR and doesn't have any play. Stack height is approx. ~3" according to NRG. It has flared rings for easy removal, and a safety pin to keep you from popping it off on accident (not that it would ever happen). It has a nice black finish, and it includes all the normal hardware (including the black allen key pictured, but not the chrome one - that is the one that came with my Momo hub). Retail price is $150, I paid $130. It is basically brand new in box.

    SOLD

just curious does the steering wheel mount right onto that or do you need to get a hub adapter still?

You need a hub adapter still. Teej, that's mighty tempting, but my spending is elsewhere right now. I got some stuff under werks ;)

These ball bearing style releases are much better than the splined one that I have. They are virtually slop proof.
