That would go against everything I've ever read

Yeah, I was VERY surprised... but, that is what it is. Not the first time of Misinformation though!

I remember the first time I did an auto to manual swap in an E36... what a PITA that was (in 03).

Well, like I said, my buddy pulled a rack from his M3 (it was actually a 97) and it was 3.25. I turned it myself.

I wouldn't write it off as misinformation. Not to knock you at all, but I trust the rack pulled straight from my buddies car who knew it's history, more then your racks that are sitting around. Although, you do have the quantity/consistency to make a good argument, and I'm sure you are very thorough.

        Who knows...

Well, My racks have manufacture dates on them. Do you even still have that rack around?

I trust the DATE on the rack, much more than the fact that you pulled it out of your buddies M3 and tested it yourself. There is nothing to dispute with my findings. I have STAMPED DATED racks, that I personally tested, less than 3 days ago.

No hard feelings, but don't preach what can't be proven.

I have the rack out of a Z3 2.8i, and I love it. It's shorter ratio than these, but any decrease from the 4 turns LTL is better! I LOVE IT!

You guys won't regret it at all! :)

No 2.7's? I could possibly settle for a 3.0 then, if still avail.
