If someone took the time to recreate a rare, NLA Hartge strut bar (for example) and had it made to specs, I can't imagine anyone asking them for the drawings so that they could go make their own. Regardless of if they have money or not.

The longer we post in the same threads, the more I can tell we would get along.

I guess there are some concepts/ideals that the "ME" generation does not get, myself included from time to time. Spec's have been a highly guarded item in the automotive field, look @ camshaft's in the musclecar era, suspension tuining/rates in NASCAR, etc.

When you think about those types of things and realize it's the value placed on someones work into said product. I simply see it as a disrespect to the "worker" to try to benifit of their work via bypassing the time they took.

If I/you want the drawings go buy some junkyard parts, grab a few micrometers, a straightedge, and some pencils.

      Wow,

      Some E-thug'n here.

When I originally posted asking for dimensions I thought that E30 Groupie wasn't interested in making another batch, I thought that he made himself a batch and would have a few extra made to sell off. I would have bought a set from that initial offering but I didn't see the post in time.

What I missed in his original post was his edit where he stated that he would make another batch and offer those up for sale.

E30 Goupie: I sent you a PM, I'll take a pair of the spacers.

Did he got the measurement from SBI set? So he did not invent the measurement anyway.
And why the price went from $175 to $200? I guess more people interest so he jack up the price? I am very interest but now the price went up. When it gonna got to $225 or $250?

Go buy SBI units, take measurements, make your own then. If he wanted to charge your first born's big left toe, he has that right. In the conventional world, it's called Supply and Demand.

#1- I used hubs, brakes, and the broken spacers to come to this newer design. So no, it is not a copy as you allege.

#2- Pricing is relative. When it’s a brand new item or when there is a smaller window of opportunity, a lot of companies and persons will offer things at a lower price to make them more enticing. As I did. It was a limited run and the offer I gave was just as limited.

I posted both prices at the same time. Its not as if I came up with random numbers and am trying to make a profit. I ended up eating the shipping on the last sets that went out, which came out to about $20 per set. So pardon me if I think $5.00 in my pocket for a set is enough.

#3- I am asking $200 per set which includes shipping. Originally, I was making a set for me, which cost me close to 200. For each additional set, it was less. I chose not to pass along the tooling fee to people buying, as I was going to be paying that anyway. My bad for being an honest guy. I did not randomly raise this price, nor did I change my numbers. If you would like to pay $250 for a set, I would be more than happy to get one shipped out by the end of the week.

I am merely offering a product that is better than others, at no profit to me. Sorry if that bothers you. I guess I should have asked for $300 per set and left it alone... :)

Based off of interest, I should be making another batch in the next 2 weeks. PM me if you are interested. They are 200 a set shipped. If we can get to 5 sets prepaid, I can do them for 190 shipped.

(Oh no! Another different price! Wait, its LOWER?!)

Well put...I totally agree with what you're saying. It just seems that people don't get it though.

                E30 Groupie: nice work man!

What I don't get is the price went up when more people interest. Don't get me wrong, I do interest as I have a set of M3 calipers in garage right now :D

First round, I was making a set for me no matter what. I was doing a favor and offering additional sets to people which did not include the tooling costs as I was already paying for them. (Guess I am too nice and it seems weird to people.) For any further sets, they are not for me, so the tooling costs are spread through the sets. Which is why, if I can get 5 people, the price goes down $10.

Is it too late to get in on a set?

Just wondering if the 2nd order was sent out to the machine shop or are you waiting for more buyers?
