BMW does make a Euro plate filler that attaches to US cars, but I found that out after I had ordered mine... Maybe it's just because I spend all day working on everyone else's shitboxes but I don't really like to fuck with little stuff for my car. I want to take it out of the box and put it on. Whatevs, I'm sorry for the attitude and I agree that it's a killer part but I just figured for that price there could at least be an OPTION of US attachment points.

you mean a US filler? Cause I'm pretty sure a plate filler meant for german/euro sized plates was never made for US cars. ;)

No no, I was having a discussion with the guys at The Euro Depot the other day (actually it was probably a few months ago) and I guess they found an obscure part number for a Euro-style plate filler drilled for US cars. I'm actually now tempted to have them order me one now because I'm curious to actually see such a beast in person. For the record, there's also a high-output foglight housing for e30s as well. Made for the Icelandic market or something...

Thank you. Do people not get that a stock plate filler is at least $50, and it is mass produced and made from less expensive material. This piece is made from carbon fiber, and it custom. The cheap ass r3v community strikes again.

You are right TwoJ's. This cheapness of R3V and the e30 "community" (using that term loosely) is getting a bit out of hand.

This thread is probably not the best example of it - cause, well, lets face it, a CF filler plate is not on the top of 95% of people's wish list. Hell, I can't even afford it right now if I wanted to. Ary (the OP) knows that - he's no fool.

Guys, if you want people to make "cool" stuff for e30s - support it with your wallet.

Sure - free DIY mods are where it is at.
I love a good fog light mod that only requires 2 cents of wire and 10 mins to pull off. Clutch stop out of $15 of hardware store parts? Bring it on.

But beyond that, if it has to be made, then it has to be research, engineered, prototyped, tested, installed, parts ordered over and over again, finalized, pictures taken. Then marketed, sold and shipped, with follow up and support.

For the people that do support stuff like this - hats off to you. You get it - you know whats up. For people that don't - well, try to learn...

And if you see something that you think "Hey I could make something like that!" Well, try it. Go find your own thing - think of something new YOU could make and give it a try.

                    - Go sketch a new design for a shift knob that you could get one made at a local machine shop.

                    - Go to the junk yard and find some sweet sun visor that has a built in light in it for the passenger side so girls can look pretty - then adapt it to an e30.

Wow - I must be tired - cause I think that was a rant.

The product looks great. What is the expected increase in miles per gallon?

I'd get one if it was a bit cheaper, I'd like to see a group buy price if possible.

I'd be interested in a GB price as well. If the price could get down to 150, that would bring in a lot more customers.

rear plate fillers are 25 dollars new, not over 50.
