I've been doing body work for 15 years or so, that WAS a $750 fix (my cost) here. Pull, replace quarter w/used one, replace bumper, taillight, replace or repair door, paint.
It is a shame this beautiful car was totalled. I can see how well the car was taken care of, and it was highly optioned. Here in the rust belt there just aren't many E30s left, sadly. I would have jumped on the price the insurance company sold this car for, even with a salvage title.
At any rate, she's gone with the wind now.
Still have the wishbones? A PM would be the easiest to get me, these would have to be shipped.
