Not sure what this part is called, but it's the rear suspension brace that goes from side to side. Holds the differential and rear trailing arms. Are two bushings, one on either side. If you've sold off the posi rear, this should be fairly easy to remove.

Rear subframe! Thats what it's called. I couldn't remember for the life of me what that thing was called.
Wow, wonder if it was the torque of the engine over time that cracked it. Couldn't have been the front hit. Hope you didn't get banged up too bad.

it definately wasnt from the front hit. i checked it last weekend and wrecked this weekend. the car has been hit before on the right rear, so that might have cracked the subframe.
