Hey folks. I'm cleaning out my garage and storage and I've got a lot of parts that need to go to fund another project. Most of the prices listed are pretty firm, but I'm reasonable...if you want to make a reasonable offer. To keep this thread from getting cluttered, PLEASE send offers via PM.

Q: Is the steering rack OEM or aftermarket?

It's an OEM, remanufactured ZF steering rack. Same brand as BMW uses.

whats different about the MM head?

Cam:
Intake: 286 deg 11.75mm lift
Exhaust: 276 deg 10.44mm lift

Also, the head is well ported and also has what MM calls ST (Surface Technology). The grooves cut into the top of the combustion chamber and into the valves (see pictures above) are intended to create turbulence in the airflow as it enters the chamber past the valves. The goal is to create a better mix of air and fuel for a better burn, less deposits on the chamber walls, and more power.

The effectiveness of this concept is NOT something I want to get into a debate about on this thread. However, I will say that some motor machinists swear by it. Personally I have no experience with the concept, and I have not used MM products before.

Regardless, it has a fairly aggressive but streetable cam, and MM claims a flow improvement of at LEAST 16% over stock. Having compared the stock and MM ports side-by-side, it's a pretty good porting job. Anyone who's had headwork done can attest to it not being cheap. So, 1500 for a fully assembled new head, is a pretty good deal. MM is listing (currently) this head for $2295 + $500 core on their website.
