you can either englarge the OEM head light shield hole to fit the new large duct or you can just ditch the headlight shield and install duct. The duct may require to cut off some coils if its too long.

I did something better. I just screwed the duct in the OEM hole. I just twisted it and fed it in. I attached it to the filter and ran the duct behind the headlights (which I had removed. All fit nice and tight.

OK so I'm releasing the ver.5 kits now.

          New features are

*new 4 ply 3" silicone couplers
*2 new hose clamps per kit that clamp much better.

Can now do Megasquirt kits that will unclude a MAF delete pipe for an additional fee.

Total shipped for new ver.5 kit is $120 shipped

anyone put one of these on an e34? (the m60b30 uses the safe size MAF as m50/s50) I know it will clamp on but don't know if the overall length is long enough.

length in 9" total and should fit the M60 fine, might need a 90degree coupler at the ducting end because of the way the M60's air box sits

the flexible hosing you provide wouldn't suffice?

it might work, but I've never personally seen how much clearance there is.

any reason this wouldn't work on an E30 with an M50 swap?

So I bought a e30 in my sig, came with your intake missing all mounting components.
I took it off yesterday to hit with some compressed air ( didn't know about this thread prior to doing that) when re installing decided to leave one end off of the instake and just have a wider feed. My question is how bad or good was it to do that. Just another eg: everything is clamped up and the side pointed towards headlight area has screws removed and left open for increase air flow. Am I a moron for doing this lol yes I'm new to your product and this car.... Any advice would be great.

there is no problem with removing one of the end flanges, it makes it louder but you lose the ducting.
