    $$$ - Scrap Catalyst (Aftermarket)

I pulled this of my e30. I had it installed for about $220.00, and drove the car approximately 10 miles afterwards. Selling as a scrap metal component.

    $75.00 shipped.

Just look on ebay, being a scumbag crackhead and cutting of 3 cats a week will probably put more money in you pocket than a real job.

^^^ Yep. I have had customers in the past bring their car in for a loud noise, then upon inspection, someone had taken a battery powered sawzall and hacked it out, and cut the o2 sensor too. 2 min could net you 4-600 if you know what vehicles to hit. (I do, but that's not my gig)

Correct you are. I was an engineer for a Tier 1 automotive supplier for catalytic converters for many of the big name automakers. They are the single most expensive item on a vehicle, when everything is broken down into their sub-components. Generally the bigger the engine, the more engine toxins that need to get catalyzed, the bigger the cat....the more expensive....etc etc etc

You should see how much money can be made on the cat from a Ford Windstar. The getting it off is fun though.

Not trying to thread crap, but what brand is that cat? I got one from Magnaflow identical to that for $60 from Summit. I know the stock 80's BMW cats sell for $200+, but they have are much bigger and contain a higher content of palladium and rhodium...

Oh, I thought a cat was a cat. Maybe I'll dump the price to 75 shipped.

I know you're not supposed to sell used cats but I don't think the feds are going to bust your door down for this one. Scrap value of aftermarket cats is nil, but this is definitely useful for someone building a custom exhaust

yeah the market for scrap cats has crashed. anyway, aftermarkets are worthless compared to OEM, they dont contain the same good shit.

I was simply offering it up for the users own choice of final useage.
