FS: OBD1 M3 Engine and Manual Transmission

Selling a complete 95 OBD1 3.0 M3 engine, with the ZF manual transmission still attached to it. Comes with all accessories (A/C, alternator, power steering, etc), minus the crank position sensor, knock sensors, and cam sensor. Everything will be sold as is.

The transmission has both of its mounting tabs broken off. There is a hole where the driver's side mounting tab used to be. So I am pretty much giving you the transmission with the engine for this price. Engine and trans is still bolted together.

I turned the engine on a couple of times before completely taking it apart, in preparation of pulling it out, to make sure everything was running fine, etc. It is sold as is.

Entire thing has 145k miles on it. The head was rebuilt probably 2-3 months ago, and I put about 2k miles on the car between that time. Installed new head gasket, had the head refinished/decked, checked, etc. Had it checked for straightness, and it was straight before the decking process was even done.

Brand new belts and the thermostat cover was also installed/replaced recently.

Looking for $1700 picked up, obo. I have references if needed.

    Located in Orange County.

    thanks.

    -Don

/\ If the mounting brackets are brocken off you can take it to any welding shop and have the tabs rewelded on. I did it and they are holding up really well.

          How did yours break off?

I knew it had to be as simple as just welding new ones on, but the engine needs to leave the car, and I need to sell it!

Build date? I assume it is pre valve keeper build, but if it is, when head work was done was this resolved? Mild interest...

It is actually a later model, so the retainers are the upgraded versions, as on the OBD2 cars.
