So, my biggest shock installation fail.
Wanted to keep the stock ride for my e93 daily driver so purchased Bilstein B6 shocks from Turner Motorsports. Just installed them and wondered why I had to fight to get the fronts in when they came out fairly easy. Measured the length of the old shocks and looked at part numbers. I have sports suspension on my e93 and the correct Bilstein shocks to use are B8.
Will remove them when the B8 replacements come in next month. Selling at a loss but there are some scratches to the sticker/paint from the spring compressor.
Asking $500 obo plus shipping from Houston, TX.... basically buy the fronts and get the rears for free. Local pick-up is even better.
Keep in mind- I'm still waiting for my B8 shocks to arrive before I can pull the B6 off the car. Looking at October time frame.
**Update**
the B8 shock came in, measured it against the stock BMW shock. Still not happy with the length so sent it back and ordered OEM BMW.
Bilstein shocks/struts were pulled off last week and ready to go!
