What he said, friends and I did his 92 sentra which has more lines than our cars and removed it....Best way to do for our cars is a designed layout that continues to the hood and front valance etc.

Don curious if you're using wrap vinyl or just plain high-perf vinyl ?

i was going to "create" those roof lines if i vinyl my e30. haha.

or possibly stretch the vinyl (if its really good stuff) to fit. high performance vinyl can really move around a lot.

Matte black for the roof on this car. Everything else that was matte (IE hood and roof spoiler, were painted like that beforehand already).

A little different, but here is my buddy Mike Ucker from Lizard Skins wrapping the Rahal/ Letterman E92 BMWs in Columbus Ohio. This material is full car vinyl wrap and a little different than vinyl lettering material. Just an idea of how one would go about applying.

It'll be north of $1k for the CF material, for enough to do your entire car. It's pretty expensive stuff compared to the regular matte black vinyl.

CF (probably can't even tell, because of how dark it is, but at least you can kind of see what a black roof looks like on a yellow car, haha):

                                Gloss:
