    Mint condition seat belt receptacles.

As the title says looking for a set of mint seat belt receptacles. Would be ok with just the fronts at the moment.

Be sure to specify early or late style.

The red buttons of original receptacles are usually faded.

But any BMW dealership will sell you mint ones.

Build date 8/88 so I assume late model. Thanks for the heads up btw

Not so much that they are faded as they are sticky and scratched to hell and back lol

I compared the receptacles from the E28, and they matched. Except the connector, which is easy to replace.

72-11-1-941-557 - the passenger side without the wire for $70.
72-11-1-941-457 - the driver side with the wire. It seems it's no longer available.

The offsets on the lower section of E28 and E30 receptacles are different, and while an E28 one would probably work I think it might sit in a slightly off way.

Yes, I checked mine. The E28 receptacle is angled at the bottom.
I may just crack open the black plastic cover and put the top on the E30 receptacle.

The video shows how to restore the red color by using heat. But it's better to take out the black plastic cover first as it may melt.

Can you buy just the buttons only or do you have to buy the whole receptacle.

Or course, only the whole thing.

Lawyers don't want you to monkey with seat belts.
