Yes - they were aftermarket though, IIRC. they pop up once in a while, but are usually pretty expensive. -
not necessarily aftermarket... the units sold at the parts counter were genuine BMW and were a dealer installed option, with a genuine part number.
for the sunroof-delete 318i/is cars, where folks really had to have a sunroof installed, a body shop would install an aftermarket glass unit; the panel being of similar dimensions to a sunroof-equipped e30, but not the same. the ones i've seen, were either made by Saint-Gobain or Webasto, which both quality manufacturers.
here's a NOS unit i sold a few years ago, which was purchased new from the parts counter at Kuni BMW, in the late 80s:
