    WTB Differential 2.93-3.75

    Hey,

Long time reader, first time poster. I am looking to replace the diff in my 325e, it started to whine and become very annoying. Unfortunately, I have found out that it is very hard to get a decent differential in socal. Either they are asking 1.8k+ for a rebuilt LSD or they are asking $400 for one that is rusted to hell and is in worse condition than mine. If anyone has one please PM me or reply below. At this point any ratio I can get my hands on, preferably I want one is in good condition cosmetically as well as mechanically.

EDIT: I also have a M30B34 that was freshly rebuilt and reconditioned, nearly $3k was spent on the rebuild. I purchased it to swap into my e30 but I gave up eventually on that plan. I am willing to trade that for a differential or other parts.

might just be bearings. i've taken a few diffs apart, they are not to bad to fix if you have to diy. especially if the pinion is still good. the side axle bearings aren't bad at all. will need a press or you can use the hot / cold trick.

I thought about that, I might end up doing that if I don't find anything. I have never opened a differential, but I guess its never too late to learn.

I have a 4.27 lsd. I know it’s not the range you wanted but the condition and price is right

4.27 is too much for my eta, I appreciate the reply though.
