In 1988, cars switched from cable regulators to scissors type. From 3/88 on they should be scissors. I would suggest checking this out. Your pic shows the cable type.

I really do wish it was a scissor regulator type because I actually have the replacement motor for those. Unfortunately, my doors have the cable type and the motors vary ever so slightly.
