WTB Sport Seats in good Condition - Kansas or surrounding

I am in Wichita Kanas and have recently purchased a 318i and would like to upgrade to sport seats. Would be willing to travel up to 6 hours for the right price.

Good luck finding these. They seem to have all but vanished in the last few years. Beware that the earliest seats from 1984-1985 have a different rail that does not fit the chassis of later cars (late 1985 through the end of E30 production). Also, the seat release cable mechanism is different for coupes than sedans. Finally, the convertible Models have different seat cover designs than non-verts.

This has not been my experience. 84-85 seats fit 86+ cars, but the lower frames are a different width where the rails mount to the seat frame so you can’t use an 86+ lower seat frame with 84-85 rails. This it’s really only problematic if you’re buying sport seats without rails, or buying replacement frames from a different seat.
