WTB: Snowboard rack

I'm looking for a snowboard/ski rack for the iX.

I have one right now, but I cannot fit a set of 4 snowboards with bindings on it, so whatever rack I will buy needs to be able to hold an upside down snowboard with bindings mounted and not have anything touch the roof. This is essential and the only reason I'm looking for a new rack, it's a huge PITA to take 4 guys to the mountain and hav to strip two boards of their bindings to make everything fit.

I will be giving the one I have right now to my brother to use with his E28.

I don't care what it looks like, used/new, or what brand. Preferably with locks, but I'll see what is out there.

If you are interested in buying new. I would recommend either the Thule 91725, or the Yakima Big PowderHound. Those are the leading products out there right now. And for a 4 board, they are both around 150 with locks.

They both fit any rack system(ie. Universal). The Yakima however has lifters, which raises one side of the rack, giving you more clearance, and almsot always enough room to clear and binding.

I'd still have to buy the towers and cross bar to mount the rack onto ,wouldn't I?

Yes, if you do not have a base rack. But any base rack would work with these. being that they are univerasl fitement.

You would either need raingutter towers from thule or yakima. Or you can use the yakima Q tower system

The Q Towers will fit a wider range of vehicles. Fitting most modern vehicles, you just have to switch out the Q-CLips.

ANd begining next month Yakima is doing a kick back deal, when you buy a set of towers and a pair of crossbars you get $30 off.
