    WTB Sub and amp

Looking for something that hits hard and sounds good. Preferably a single sub 10 or a 12 with an amp. idk what size i really need as far as 1000w or 1500w?

I've got a matrix elite 12" that'll kill your hearing real quick...

I had it in my old ix sealed against the ski-pass through. Only had 600 watts running to it and I could never turn the sub volume more than 1/2 way up.

I don't have the box any more, but run it sealed in 1.3 cu ft and you'll be happy- loud and tight. Or get a custom ported box made to make it ALOT louder. Its between a jl w6 and w7.

$140 shipped. If you want my old amp with it- an alpine mrd-m605 (v12 mono), I could do $300 shipped.

You need to figure out box design first, then sub and amp requirements.

Do you want to cut sheet metal or do you want to sound like a rattle mobile when you go down the road?

Buying used stuff is good and all, but I like having a warranty as I tend to over drive things.

1000w and 2500w are meaningless numbers. Look at rms vs ohm rating.
Jl 10w7 is a great sub, needs a bit of good clean power to make it sound nice. One of these days when the warranty is up on my alpine subs I will switch to jl.

Remember, you get what you pay for. Making an e30 loud vs making an e30 sound good has quite a price difference.

i have a polk audio dual 12" set-up that came with a box & an infiniti kappa 600watt amp i'm selling. $400 for both,.......hits really hard. i can have my parents take it back to nc with them if you're serious about buying it.

Well my uncle gave me the subs, and the box I made myself, but I think I paid like $150 for the amp. But I think the subs go for like $200 each.

GOT A STEALLL!!! so i bought a 800w phoenix gold amp for 50 dollars perfect working order. Went across the street to elite audio had it tested and they hooked me up with 2 boston G2 subs and a box for 220. The subs were about 220 a piece. Killer setup and hits really hard !
