    WTB: Coilovers

The title says it all. I'm wanting to buy a set of coil overs ready to be mounted up. Prefer stanceworks or zero clearance, I want to be on the ground.

Nothing in need of service or welding.

I'm located in Charleston, SC. I have cash in hand along with a set of chrome M contours if your interested.

PM me here or TEXT me at 843.801.5642

Yo its like 450 shipped for the GC kit. all you need to do is buy new bilstein sports, remove your stock suspension, cut off the perches (easy as hell) and slam your shit.

I don't think they are going to 'fail' but best bang for your buck? That is a stretch for sure. The rates are equal front to rear so we know for sure off the bat that the kit was not designed for an E30. It is a generic kit that fits the chassis.

The biggest issue for me is the cost ~1100 dollars for what looks like K-Sports. The adjusting ring, the locking ring, the springs, the adjusters, tools etc all say K-Sport(or any other of the 10 versions they are producing for each company). The colors of everything has changed but I am sure K-Sport would make up some pink kits if you really wanted.

Bilstein/GC adapters are cheaper and can choose your rate. No camber plates at that point but I would rather have that setup. At the price point of swapping spring rates you are now almost to the point of a full GC/TCKline kit.

It is an option for the E30 but not the best bang for your buck. I know about K-Sports. I know how they ride. I know their generic shocks that are just made to fit each chassis and generic spring rates that are not matched to the chassis they are being installed on. It an option for those that just want to set ride height. I don't have a problem with them but the comment about bang for the buck got me.

I agree with what this dood said. Same rates front and back?, come on now. I personally run GC 500front 700rear rates and love it.

Best bang for your buck IN MY OPINION would be the GC kit with sleeves/adjusters/springs misc parts to put them on. only real expensive part is the bilstein sports, but i'm glad i went that route.

So wait, there's no welding to the GC kit?

I guess I was educated incorrectly.

I'm going to have to do some research it seems. Thanks for the info!

WELD THEM, that would be a dumb move not to. I would hate to be the moron that dumps his front end because he did not weld it.

Just do some searching and fab it up, then have a local shop weld the perches in if you cannot do it.

GC is the best for money and product. Like anstead I am running 500/700 rates and ate a vette at the SCCA event. I went Bilstein sports also.

What are you talking about? I never welded mine. Steve never welded his and he put them on his black car and his bronzit. A friend of ours didn't weld his either. They all work fine with no issues...

Interesting rates. Rates that are well beyond but Bilstein says is acceptable for their Bilstein Sports.

I passed a GT3, E46 M3s and more in my E36 m3 at Road Atlanta. Doesn't mean my car was better.

That's what I'm trying to do!

Everyone tries to sell fronts and rears separately. I don't have much time to browse the forums, I hope that isn't confused with laziness.
