    You need a half cage in order to safely support the rear shock towers. They are already prone to tearing out as is. Supporting the weight of the car with stiff springs on light gauge sheet metal that is held in with a few spot welds is not a recipe for success.

    Also, why is it that you think you can't just run 800-1,000lbs. springs in the stock location?
