I have an '87 vert and I'm not too fond of the soft top. I am interested in a hardtop for it. Around what do they go for? Please let me know if you have one.

They pop up periodically...
They generaly go for between $1200 and $2000. If you're patient you can find them cheaper. I found mine for $800. The guy was selling the entire car for $1400 and had no idea what they were worth.
The most important thing to look for is that the seals are in good shape and the back window is in good shape. The seals are NLA and the window is NLA in the states. One can be purchased from new old stock in Germany, but will cost about $500.
The headliners are prone to sag, but can be re-glued or replaced pretty easily.
Mine was in very good shape but still leaks at the front corners.Last edited by DRTSRFR; 12-08-2010, 12:39 PM. -
that is steeper then i was expecting :(. the thing is that i have this vert, but i personally am not fond of soft tops (i bought the car about 4 years ago unexpectedly because it was cheap), so i figured i would look into the hardtop but they are expensive.. im not sure whether to stay with the car, or try to sell/trade for a hardtop?Comment
